The Story of Basic services development agency

Basic Services Development Agency (BASEDA) is a prominent non-governmental organization (NGO) in Malawi, dedicated to fostering sustainable development and improving community well-being since its establishment in 2004. Registered under the Trustee’s Incorporation Act, BASEDA operates across 13 districts, focusing on key areas such as water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), livelihood and agriculture, HIV/AIDS awareness, climate resilience, and education. Through innovative programs and partnerships, BASEDA empowers communities with practical solutions to enhance health, economic opportunities, and environmental sustainability.

HIV/AIDS Awareness and Youth Empowerment

 Educating youth on HIV/AIDS prevention and offering testing services to reduce stigma and promote healthier lifestyles.

Climate Change and Agroforestry

Promoting climate-resilient agriculture and tree planting initiatives to mitigate environmental impact and safeguard rural livelihoods.
