OUR PARTNERS

Ending Rampant School Violence in Malawi
The National Initiative Against School Violence Project, implemented between 2006-2008, drastically reduced school violence by 90%. This project, backed by funding from GiZ and the Forum for Dialogue and Peace, addressed widespread school property destruction and closures, significantly improving the educational environment in Malawi. In 2008, the project was recognized as the most impactful initiative in conflict management in Malawi, earning the organization an award in peacebuilding. The Executive Director, Mr. Wilson Damien Asibu, also received an award in Peace Journalism for his efforts
Regulation of Private Schools in Malawi
CMPD played a crucial role in improving the standards of private education in Malawi. In 2005/6, the organization advocated for the regulation of private schools, leading to the inspection and closure of sub-standard institutions. This effort resulted in better-regulated private schools that now produce excellent academic results, with many students progressing to universities
Improving Community Health Services
From 2016 to date, CMPD has been instrumental in strengthening community health service delivery in Malawi. The organization supported the establishment of the Malawi Network of Community Health Workers, comprising over 15,000 community health workers. These workers have become essential in delivering healthcare services to over 84% of Malawi's population, especially in rural areas where access to medical professionals is scarce
